Aberdeen Receives $340K State Grant to Resurface South Atlantic Avenue
Aberdeen Township has been granted $340,000 in Local Aid Infrastructure Fund (LAIF) state transportation aid to resurface South Atlantic Avenue, according to a list of FY 2011 LAIF grant award winners. Ours was the third largest LAIF grant statewide, after $3.5 million to South Plainfield for a bridge replacement and $1.4 million to Camden for waterfront work. These awards were part of the announcement of $14.65 million in state grants to help fund transportation infrastructure and safety projects. See the state's news release and the related APP article, the latter of which mentions the Aberdeen road work.
