Governor Christie is growing increasingly uncomfortable as the Supreme Court prepares to suggest expensive remedies for Trenton's violation of its constitutional requirement to provide a thorough and efficient system of education to all public schools. The Sunday Asbury Park Press says Governor Christie is pushing back, saying he is prepared to "cut out all reimbursements to hospitals for poor patients without insurance, or eliminate state aid to municipalities." Christie says he would prefer judges who would let him set budgets as he sees fit, without interference or oversight, but fortunately for us the courts recognize the need for a balance of powers in the state.
All I can say is it doesn't surprise me how quickly Christie's leadership turns to ugliness.
