Wow! I was just over that way tonight, getting gas at Wawa, and didn't even notice, however last week when I drove by, I was wondering what the deal is/was with Moore's. Any idea on what will become of that location and where the liquor license will tranfer? And not to get too far off the topic, whenever I get gas at Wawa, I can't help but wonder who the heck would buy a house located on the Wawa access road, and wonder what their address is, 1 Wawa Way? Have you ever wondered about that house? Crazy location, huh?
The place must have been torn down today. I distinctly remember seeing the bar still standing this weekend.
Aberdeen Township Council renewed Moore's Bar's alcoholic beverage license last year for the period 1 July 2010 to 30 Jun 2011 in Res 2010-87. They recently issued Moore's Bar a pocket license for the period 1 July 2011 to 30 Jun 2012 in Res 2011-79. A pocket license is issued to business but is not being used. Presumably Remvac Stores either plans to open a new place or hasn't been able to sell the license yet.
The homes near Wawa were on a God-forsaken dirt road before that access road was built, so one can only imagine they're pleased to have a paved roadway passing their abodes. I'm sure there were some lucrative negotiations involved in making that access road happen for Wawa.
Pat, what is the deal with Tom's Fishery? It was closed a few years ago, then reopened. Then closed again, partial remodeling started and then stopped midway. Then the place was torn down. Now, a new foundation. What is the deal? Any word?
