The local weather forecast for the Friday/Saturday overnight calls for heavy rain, strong winds, and flooding. Today's mild but dreary weather is supposed to get much worse overnight, with winds picking up (up to 50 MPH in the region) and rainfall increasing (up to 2-4 inches in places) as a large low pressure system comes into our area.
BTW, we strolled down Main Street from the library in downtown Matawan Thursday night and had a nice Mexican meal at Aby's Restaurant. The help was quite pleasant, the furnishings comfortable, and the food well prepared.
There was nothing more to be learned last night about the library situation. The women's book club was meeting downstairs since the executive session was postponed, so maybe someone in that group knows more about what will happen next?
