The Borough of Matawan's Recreation Commission has scheduled its annual Downtown Clean Up event for Saturday 3 May 2014 at 8:30 am.
Last year's event involved "sprucing up and planting flowers in the large flower pots along Main Street." Contact Dierdre Ring at Borough Hall at 732-566-3898 ext 130 if you'd like to volunteer. They'll probably rally in the Bank of America parking lot again at the corner of Main and Ravine if you want to just show up. Bring some work gloves and gardening tools and I'm sure she'll be happy to put you to work on spring cleaning.
