MLK Memorial Dedication - 28 August 2011

The Sunday Asbury Park Press says that people from Monmouth County are heading to Washington, DC next weekend by the busload to attend the dedication of the Martin Luther King, Jr memorial on The Mall. The ceremony, which will be attended by the President and many distinguished guests, is scheduled for 28 August 2011, which will be the 50th anniversary of the I Have A Dream speech. I hope that some people from the greater Aberdeen-Matawan area will be attending this event and those who cannot will honor MLK's legacy by visiting the memorial over the coming year.
