A telephone pole has been erected along the Cliffwood Beach seawall. Wonder what that's about? Maybe the authorities plan to mount some security cameras?! Now that would be great. A good location, for sure.
That to me looks like someone might be building something there, as the first step is to bring power. Wasn't there a house build on the other side of the gate recently? (in the last year or so)?
I agree it looks like they plan to bring in some power, but more likely for public lighting, security cameras, or some other purpose. There's not been a house along the seawall since the latter was built in the 1970s, if ever, at least not that I'm aware of.
You realize where this pole is situated, right? Along the seawall on the Keyport side of Treasure Lake, not far from the macadam path up to the metal traffic gate at Woodland Drive.
Last year about this time (late spring early summer) I was down on the road toward the access to the leaf mulching area, and there was definitely a new house contructed, on the other side of the access gate. I had to park and walk over to look at it.

I am certain this is something out of lost. I think the pole was originally from the 1930s.... time warp.
