Kaboomfest is Fireworks and Fun in Red Bank

Fireworks are being canceled across the country due to budget cuts, according to USA Today. The Associated Press says people understand and aren't complaining. Neither the Matawan Borough website nor the 1 July 2010 online edition of The Independent makes mention of fireworks scheduled on Lake Lefferts this year. If a rumor doesn't pan out that there will be fireworks on Saturday 3 July, we will have to hit the road to celebrate. This weekend's alternative for fireworks and fun is Red Bank.
