Helen Henderson provides no answers in Of Town and Field as far as I can see. One of the news articles I included in this article says someone bought the equipment, but there is no reference to the kilns and what happened to them and when. I doubt it exploded. Perhaps Hurricane Donna? Or it was demolished, razed? Maybe one of my readers knows the answer? The place is rubble now, just a pile of dirt with bricks mixed in, along the Kavanaugh Trail along Whale Creek in CB.

I'm unfamiliar with the Cooper School in Cliffwood Beach. Tell me more.

Ms Henderson mentions George Craigen, owner of Craigen Brick Co of Cliffwood. That's on pg 104 of my copy of the above book. That was between 1927 and 1947, but she doesn't say exactly when. I'll have to research that place at some point.Pathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09082406276423678772noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7442846349063232268.post-51547541410446431302012-04-08T19:17:22.926-04:002012-04-08T19:17:22.926-04:00what happened to the brick companys? was 1 behind ...what happened to the brick companys? was 1 behind cooper school in cliffwood beach? did it explode? demolished?Malchionhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06752259502600115827noreply@blogger.com
