Local Elks Support Special Kids

Over five years ago, the Elks Lodge in Keyport, which serves our region, inspired its colleagues in Red Bank to work with their local municipality in reaching out regularly to special kids, according to Red Bank-Shrewsbury Patch. Elks Lodge 233 in Red Bank held its first dance social with the support of Red Bank's Department of Parks and Recreation on 29 December 2005, according to the Atlantic Highlands Herald of 16 March 2006. The Patch says the kids are excited to hear that monthly dance socials are resuming in Red Bank after a two-month gap while wheelchair accessibility was added to the lodge.
